About the day...

We strongly encourage the participation of singer/accompanist pairs, who will get the most out of this day. However, if you are a singer who does not have an accompanist, Karen Smith is the official accompanist. If you wish her to accompany you, it is very helpful if you contact her in advance (email: knjsmusic@hotmail.com) to let her know the title, composer and key of your song.

Participants will have the opportunity to perform two songs, each within a twenty minute slot. For this workshop, we encourage you to choose art-songs (e.g. German lieder, French mélodies, English song) rather than genres such as
opera or musical.

Please bring a copy of your song for Joseph and one for Karen Smith if she is accompanying you.
There is plenty of space for observers who are guaranteed an interesting and absorbing day.
